IDEAL has completed numerous turnkey module fabrication projects including fabrication and assembly of structural steel, construction of piping components, NDT, pressure testing, abrasive blasting and coating of structural steel and piping, insulation, and final preparation for shipping. We work closely with select electrical and instrumentation contractors to coordinate heat trace and cable tray installation.
Shop Capacity
IDEAL’s shop and yard fabrication facilities are located in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Output of our combined facilities is approximately 15,000 pipe weld inches and 75,000 kg of structural steel per week. We can accommodate a maximum module size of 6.8 meters H x 7.3 meters W x 35 meters L with no weight restrictions. Our expansive yard space allows us to safely access and work on multiple module packages simultaneously. The close proximity of our blasting and coating facilities provides logistic efficiencies that can be passed on to our Clients.
Process And Quality Control
The entire fabrication process is captured using our proprietary WALT (Work and Logistic Tracking) system that tracks all progress and QC status throughout the life of the project in real time.
