Internal Coating
This is one of our most common industrial coatings. Internal pipe coatings help improve the pipe’s corrosion resistance, reduce deposit formation, and improve flow. At IDEAL Coatings, we use two primary internal coatings, Glass flake coatings and fusion bonded epoxy coating.
Fusion bonded epoxy coating is high-performance and uses anti-corrosion powder to maintain average operating temperatures. This is suitable for internal pipe coatings at temperatures up to 80 degrees C.
First, we check the pipe for grease and oil the blast clean it to remove scale, rust, and other particles to give a rugged finish. We then paint the pipe surface to help the internal coating spread evenly on the hot pipe.
We rotate the pipe continuously on its longitudinal axis, and as the powdered coating comes into contact with the hot surface, it melts and spreads. This coating is ideal for pipes with diameters between two inches and 48 inches and different thicknesses. It also gives the pipe chemical and high impact resistance.
Internal glass flake coating, also known as Belzona coating, is suitable if you use your pipes in places with up to 93 degrees c. It is also the best option if you have bigger pipes. Like the fusion bonding epoxy coating,We start by cleaning the pipe using the blast cleaning method. We then spray the coating and brush it for stripe coating and coat small areas.
This coating takes around 24 hours to cure completely, giving your pipes complete solvent and chemical resistance. It has good weather properties, adhesion, low permeability, and fantastic finish detention.
If you don’t know which type of internal coatings to use, our experienced and skilled employees will guide you depending on your needs.
Powder Coating
This is a dry finishing process in which we electrostatically charge dry particles and then apply them to grounded parts. The electrostatic attraction holds the powder particles on the surface being coated until we add heat to flow the powder coats and cure them.
Representing 15% of all industrial coatings, people use powder coats for high-quality and durable finishes. It helps to maximize production, simplify environmental compliance, and improve efficiency.
We have a wide variety of colors and textures for clients who want to use it for decorative or functional purposes. We have also used different technologies to increase its performance properties.
Our powder coats are based on polymer resin systems mixed with leveling agents, pigments, curatives, and other additives. We use a spray gun to apply the coating, which generates an electrostatic charge, attracting the coating to the target surface.
While we mostly use it on metals, we can also use it on medium-density fiberboards and plastics. Powder coat helps protect the toughest machinery with the roughest surfaces. It has more durability than liquid coatings, giving the surfaces resistance to chemicals, moisture, ultraviolet rays, snow, and impact.
